- Every year, PR practitioners design and implement amazing PR interventions for their respective clients or employers.
- Due to the rigor and sheer creative strain that it takes to design their
interventions, when a campaign meets its objectives, the team that put it
together are often very proud of their work and would be happy to share it with the world. - When amazing work is developed and executed exceptionally well, it is only right that it gets recognized.
- Realizing excellence takes lots of work. And sometimes potential clients are looking for talent and companies that do outstanding work. So, participating in these awards present opportunities to attract new business since the entrants shall have demonstrated outstanding design and execution competence.
- Pay an entry Fee (depending on the submission)
- Individual or Corporate entrants must be fully registered members of PRAU.
- Non-PRAU members are eligible to apply.
- Submissions are made via the PRAU Website (www.prau.ug).
- The campaign needs to have been implemented in the last 11 months – between October 2023 to August 2024.
Individual Submissions are subject to different criteria depending on the category, e.g. Young Communicator award.
- Early Bird entries must be submitted by 18:00 GMT on Saturday, 14th September 2024.
- Standard entries must be submitted by 18:00 GMT on Monday, 23rd September, 2024.
- Final entries will be accepted until 23:59 GMT on Wednesday, 31st October, 2024.
- You can check the entry fees on the website. Entry fees must be paid in full by 17:00 GMT on Wednesday, 31st October, 2024. Any unpaid entries will not be judged.
- All entries must be submitted via the online entry platform; hard/email copies will not be accepted.
- All campaigns need to have been implemented in the last 11 months, from 1st October, 2023 to 31st August, 2024.
- All criteria must be covered within the 1,500-word entry; they should in PDF format.
- Entries that exceed 1,500 words may be disqualified.
- We can publish your 1,500-word entry online as a case study if you are a winner (in case the owner has officially accepted to publish it).
- Images (10MB) uploaded at the time of entry will be used at the Awards
ceremony and may also be used as marketing collateral. - You may submit the same entry in more than one category, but each entry must be submitted separately and paid for accordingly.
- There is no discount for submitting more than one entry.
- The decision of the judges is final and numerical scores/feedback only are
provided, on request. However, for entries that receive an average score of 60 or below the judges will also provide short-written feedback.
Entries must relate to work carried out between 1st October 2023 and 31st August 2024 – judging will be focused on this timeframe.
Entries must consist of not more than 1,500 words and must cover the following criteria: – – – – –
- Brief, objectives and budget (300 words maximum)
- The idea, research and planning Strategy (300 words maximum)
- Creativity and innovation (300 words maximum)
- Delivery/implementation of tactics (300 words maximum)
- Measurement, evaluation and impact (300 words maximum)
IMPORTANT: – Please be aware that all submissions are treated with extreme confidentiality and the submissions are used for purposes of only the PRAU Excellence Awards. – Please do not exceed the word limit of 1500 words in total.
