The Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU) recently held an engaging session with Journalism and Communication students at Ndejje University, equipping them with insights into diverse career opportunities in the field. The interactive session, themed 10 Career Paths for Communication Students, sparked enthusiasm and curiosity as students explored the dynamic world of public relations and communication.

During the session, Vice President Paul Mwirigi, shared valuable insights on career options such as Corporate Communication, Public Affairs, Digital Media Management, Crisis Communication, Media Relations, Internal Communication, Strategic Communication, Brand Management, Content Creation, and Research & Insights. The discussion provided students with a clearer understanding of how to position themselves for success in a competitive job market.

Beyond career guidance, PRAU emphasized the importance of professional affiliation, encouraging students to join the association to gain industry exposure, mentorship, and networking opportunities. “Becoming a PRAU member is a step toward building professional credibility, accessing career-shaping opportunities, and staying ahead in the ever-evolving communication landscape,” advised by Roland Sseruyima, PRAU Secretariat Administrtaor.
