Please take note of the following resolutions made by the Governing Council (GC) regarding the Election roadmap.
- The Electoral Commission (EC) opens nominations to run from Monday 16th, January 2023 to Wednesday 25th, January 2023;
- Electoral Commission conducts & concludes vetting exercise from Thursday 26th –Friday 27th January 2023 at 5:00pm and on 27th, announces the nominated candidates & commencement of campaigns for all posts;
- The EC sets & conducts candidates’ debate by Post on Wednesday 1st, February to Wednesday 22nd, February 2023;
- EC holds a virtual Presidential Debate on Wednesday 22nd, February 2023,
- Campaigns close on Thursday 23rd February 2023 at 5:00pm,
- Elections for all Posts and at 3:00pm; Handover to New GC & Swearing- in on Saturday 25th, February 2023 at 8:30 am to 2: 00pm
The GC further resolved to allow the EC to use an online voting platform which will be activated immediately after the constitutional amendments have been adopted by the AGM in the morning of 25th, February 2023. Google forms will be used to design an online voting platform.
As per the constitution, only paid-up members are eligible to participate in the elections.
